Spirit of BC in Italy

Torino, Italy. It was the venue for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games and the Comox Valley Spirit of BC Community Committee was there.

Armed with BC-bred enthusiasm, a fabulous product, and a big smile the Committee showcased the Comox Valley region to the curious and potential customers: from business people to athletes and organizing committees.

The hard work paid off: Mount Washington will host the 2007 International Paralympic Committee Nordic Skiing World Cup Finals in March.

Susan Kelsey, Chair of the Comox Valley Spirit of BC Community Committee, was thrilled with the results and attributed the efforts to a dedicated group representing all areas of the Comox Valley, "We have people from Mount Washington, economic development, sport and recreation, arts and culture, and First Nations."
